RaFia is a Brooklyn-raised multidisciplinary artist that slickly weaves her sultry layered vocals into self produced beats, pausing only to take a breath to deliver sharp rhymes.
Mixing jazz, funk, and rap, RaFia chronicles her experiences surviving an aggressively-gentrifying New York City while not being paid her due as the hyper-talented Black femme she is.
From Photoshop to the stage RaFia is in charge of how she’s seen, engineering her own super-saturated audio-reactive projections. She has appeared at MoMA PS1 Sunday Sessions, Eyebeam, Mana Contemporary Miami, Times Square Arts, and countless DIY venues and art spaces.
