The 3rd Sound Ceremony of 2016 at Trans-Pecos (NYC) was full of live moments we couldn’t get enough of.
We kicked the day off with A1 DJ sets from NC’s turnup ambassador PLAYPLAY, and a special all-dub DJ set from Isis Swaby. BASSBEAR repped loud and proud for the Bronx, followed by Banjee Report’s showstopping rhymes to Chicago footwork tracks. Donchristian’s performance turned the crowd’s energy up higher and higher. Our special guest, Yaeji slid through and quickly blessed the ceremony with some jams, rounding it off with a Moodyman tune to brighten our day even more.
Jersey’s own Nadus took to the decks for a blazing performative DJ set, and TT The Artist killed the final performance of the day with her femme power rap anthems – sharing her latest material as she sets off on herQueen Of The Beat tour. Sound Ceremony won again, bringing people of all backgrounds together, united in the idea that we are never alone, and to celebrate our differences on the dancefloor, to the beat.
Thanks to MASS APPEAL and Trans-Pecos for helping to present the show.
